Which Sunrise Manor Records Open
Open access depends on the kind of record, not merely on whether a government office holds it. For Sunrise Manor, the custodian may be a Clark County elected office, a court clerk, a health district, or a Nevada agency. The first step is therefore jurisdictional. A parcel with a Las Vegas postal address can still lie in unincorporated Sunrise Manor and belong in Clark County systems. The table leads with the available index and then shows the channel needed for an official copy.
| Record family | Keeper | Web coverage | How access works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deeds, liens, plats, recorded notices | Clark County Recorder | Official records from 1988; older counter indexes begin in 1909 | Free index; paid plain or certified copies |
| Property and tax rolls | Clark County Assessor and Treasurer | Owner, address, APN, map, and tax searches | Free web search; office request for archived material |
| Trial court files | Las Vegas Justice Court or Eighth Judicial District Court | Public case portals; most District Court files from 1990 | Free docket; clerk copies and older staff search |
| Birth and death certificates | Southern Nevada Health District or Nevada Vital Records | No open recent name index | Qualified applicants use certificate applications |
| Marriage and divorce | County Clerk, District Court, or state verification unit | Marriage name index and public court docket portions | Certificate, decree, or event verification are distinct products |
| Custody and offender data | CCDC, NDOC, or Nevada registry | Current custody, state incarceration, and statutory registry tools | Free lookup with limits and misuse warnings |
Some records stay closed or partly closed. Adoption and juvenile files, sealed cases, protected family details, recent vital certificates, confidential voter fields, and protected addresses do not become open merely because a related docket or index is visible. Nevada's Confidential Address Program supplies eligible survivors with a substitute address and mail forwarding under NRS 217.462 through 217.471. Driver data follows NRS 481.063 and federal DPPA rules, not an ordinary open-record request. When a file mixes public and confidential content, ask the custodian to redact the protected parts and release the rest.
Note: Owner, situs, and mailing address fields describe different facts, and none alone proves that a person occupies a Sunrise Manor parcel.
Nevada Records Law in Sunrise Manor
The Nevada Public Records Act, chiefly NRS Chapter 239, opens nonconfidential government books and records for inspection by any person. Nevada residency is not required. A request may be oral or written, though a written request is easier to track. Ask for an existing record series, date span, subject name, address, case number, or APN. An agency need not answer research questions or create a new compilation that it does not keep.
Under NRS 239.0107, the agency must act by the end of the fifth business day. It may produce the material, identify a different likely custodian, cite the legal basis for withholding, or give a date and time when the record should be ready. That deadline concerns the response, not the completion of a large production. If redaction can separate private information, the accessible remainder should be released.
The official Nevada Legislature statute page shows the controlling law used for Sunrise Manor requests.
The statute is the right source for checking current response duties, fee authority, and remedies before disputing a denial.
Clark Recorder Records Since 1909
The Clark County Recorder keeps the land-record trail for Sunrise Manor. Its Acclaim official-records search indexes broad official records from 1988, UCC filings from 1986, and federal tax liens from 1984. Counter microfilm reaches back to Clark County's creation in 1909. That continuity matters: 1988 is a web-index boundary, not the start of county recording. Main and branch counters provide older research, and sessions may be limited to 15 minutes when others wait.
Name searching can separate grantors, who transfer an interest, from grantees, who receive it. The live portal also supports APN, instrument, book and page, exact record date, and document-type routes. These controls help distinguish people with similar names.
| Acclaim control | Input | Useful options |
|---|---|---|
| Last or business name | Autocomplete text | Starts With, Contains, or Exact |
| First name | Optional text | Refines a person result |
| Party role | Show Names menu | All Names, Grantors, or Grantees |
| Date | Preset or date pair | Recent spans or a specific range |
| Document type | Dropdown | Deeds, liens, maps, judgments, and other coded types |
| Record identifier | APN, instrument, or book/page | Targets a known filing |
The index gives names, roles, type, recording date, instrument or book-page, and often an APN. It is not the original instrument. Copies are ordered online, by mail, or at a counter. For a pre-1988 order, email CCOROrder@ClarkCountyNV.gov for the page count before sending the request form.
Sunrise Manor Property Records and GIS
The Clark County Assessor Real Property Records search accepts APN, owner, address, subdivision, and parcel-book routes. Its owner form includes last name, first name, a phonetic-match option, and a choice between current records and present or prior owners. Results can show the owners, mailing and situs addresses, legal description, subdivision, parcel book and page, valuation, tax district, and links to recorded documents.
For a Sunrise Manor address, the eleven-digit APN is the most useful bridge. The Clark County OpenWeb GIS can confirm jurisdiction, site address, owner, sale details, zoning, planned land use, subdivision, recorded-document number, and map context. The Treasurer adds tax-bill mailing and delinquency data. Web portals come first; the Assessor and Treasurer counters or a narrow NRS 239 data request cover archival and extract needs. Maps aid research but are not surveys.
Practical key. Resolve the current APN before requesting Sunrise Manor records. It connects assessor, tax, GIS, deed, permit, and legal-description systems.
Sunrise Manor Court Records Channels
Sunrise Manor has no municipal court. Las Vegas Justice Court handles township misdemeanors, traffic, preliminary felony matters, small claims, and limited civil cases. The Eighth Judicial District Court handles felony, general civil, family, and probate files. Nevada has no one statewide trial-court index, so case type decides which clerk and portal to use.
The Eighth Judicial District Court portal accepts a case number or a name in Last, First Middle Suffix order. Advanced filters include party components, Soundex, filing dates, case type, status, and judicial officer. A docket can show caption, parties and roles, filing date, status, register events, hearings, dispositions, and accessible documents. Anonymous search uses CAPTCHA and blocks wildcards.
The District Court search source demonstrates the online Sunrise Manor records route.
Most District Court material from 1990 forward is online. For older names, clerk staff and microfilm reach back to September 1909. Use on-site terminals or email recordsrequest@clarkcountycourts.us with the case number and copy type. Justice Court requests go to its Records Official under Administrative Order 22-08, with review by the Chief Judge when access is denied or limited.
Sunrise Manor Vital Records Boundaries
Vital access splits by record and purpose. Nevada birth certificates remain confidential for 125 years and death certificates for 50 years under NRS 440.125. Before those periods end, a qualified applicant must show the required identity and direct interest. The Southern Nevada Health District handles Clark County certificates in its local coverage, while the Nevada Office of Vital Records keeps statewide birth and death records filed from July 1, 1911. Earlier events may require county or archival research.
The Southern Nevada Health District Vital Records source shows the certificate channel available to Sunrise Manor applicants.
Birth orders can be made online, by mail, or by drop-off with photo ID and relationship or legal proof when needed. Marriage is different: the Clark County Clerk provides a public name index and certified certificates. Divorce files come from District Court, while the state offers only an event verification. An index hit, verification, and certified copy are not interchangeable.
Note: A general open-record request cannot replace the statutory application used for a restricted Sunrise Manor birth or death certificate.
Sunrise Manor Custody Records Lookups
Current local custody searches begin with the Clark County Detention Center inmate search. It accepts at least two letters of a last name, an inmate ID, or a Justice Court case number. The result concerns current adult custody, excludes some protected or under-18 information, and does not prove guilt. If no match appears, call CCDC at 702-671-3900 or check whether the arresting jurisdiction points to a Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, or Henderson facility.
For a sentenced state prisoner, the Nevada Department of Corrections search uses an offender ID or first and last name, with a percent sign as the displayed wildcard. Its data may include demographics, aliases, booking, parole, release, and a photo, but NDOC labels it raw data. Written fallback is available through OMD Records or the NDOC public-records contact, with weekday inspection and posted reproduction fees.
The Nevada registry adds name, vehicle, and geographic searches after CAPTCHA. Its published information is for public safety and community notification. NRS Chapter 179B restricts misuse. When the underlying issue is a charge or disposition, return to the appropriate court docket rather than treating a custody or registry result as the whole official record.
Sunrise Manor Public Records Offices
Most Sunrise Manor counters are in Las Vegas because Clark County, not an incorporated city, carries the local records load. Confirm the keeper before visiting. The County Clerk is not the Clerk of Court, and the county's general request portal redirects police, detention, court, and vital-certificate matters to separate custodians.

Recorder branches at 3211 N Tenaya, Suite 118, and Henderson City Hall also provide research from 1909 forward. SNHD Vital Records operates separately at 280 S Decatur Boulevard, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 702-759-1010. Mail, email, portal, and counter options differ by office, so use the record-specific channel rather than sending every request to one desk.
Sunrise Manor Record Copy Costs
Inspection, a plain copy, and a certified copy are separate choices. Recorder plain copies cost $1 per page, with $4 added per document for certification. Its card orders add 2% plus $1.25 online. Email PDF delivery is estimated at one to two business days, while domestic paper delivery is estimated at seven to ten. The County Clerk posts 50 cents per page, $6 plus page charges for a certified document, and $20 for a certified marriage certificate.
District Court copies generally cost 50 cents per page, plus $3 for certification or $6 for exemplification. County general departments post no charge for ordinary email or fax delivery, 18 cents for black-and-white pages, 21 cents for color, $4 certification, and actual mailing cost. Under NRS 239.052, ordinary fees generally reflect actual reproduction cost. Extraordinary staff or technology use can add a reasonable charge, but the office must estimate it first. State forms warn that estimates above $25 may require prepayment.
Note: Ask for electronic inspection or delivery first when certification is unnecessary, since that choice can reduce paper, postage, and staff-search cost.
Sunrise Manor Records Terms
Portal language often hides a key access distinction. Knowing the product name prevents paying for the wrong item or citing a search screen as proof. Four terms recur across Sunrise Manor record systems.
- Index
- A finding aid with names, dates, roles, and identifiers. It may not show the filed document.
- Image
- A scan of the recorded or filed item, which can contain details omitted from the index.
- Certified copy
- A custodian-authenticated copy for uses that require official proof.
- Custodian
- The office that keeps and controls the requested record.
- Exemption
- A statute or rule that permits or requires withholding of all or part of a record.
For example, a marriage index can locate a certificate, and a court register can identify a case. Neither automatically supplies the certified underlying item. State marriage or divorce verification confirms an event but does not reproduce the county certificate or court decree.
Sunrise Manor Recording Alerts
The Clark County Recorder's Recording Notification Service sends an email after a new document is recorded under a monitored name variant or APN. It is prospective, so it does not report filings made before enrollment. The county recommends monitoring both forms because grantors and grantees are necessarily indexed by name under NRS 247.150, while an APN is not required on every recording.
The alert is a prompt to inspect Acclaim or order the filing. It is not the official record, proof of fraud, or a substitute for reviewing the instrument. For family property, an estate, or a parcel under close watch, name variants plus the current APN give broader notice than either one alone.
Request Sunrise Manor Public Records
A focused Nevada request names the correct custodian and describes an existing record. Clark County's general records request route asks for the record type, responsible department, date range, and useful identifiers such as a property owner, address, permit number, project, or APN. It does not hold police, detention, court, or vital-certificate files. The statewide public-record request form supports paper, electronic, certified, or in-person inspection choices and pickup, mail, courier, or email delivery.
- Choose the keeper. Separate Recorder, Clerk, Assessor, court, health, detention, and state-agency records before filing.
- Capture identifiers. Search the available index for an instrument, APN, case, certificate, offender ID, names, and a useful date range.
- State the product and format. Ask for inspection, electronic copies, paper copies, or certification. Give contact and delivery details.
- Review the response and estimate. The office must take one of the actions allowed by NRS 239.0107 within five business days. Narrow costly work if that still meets the need.
- Challenge a withholding precisely. Ask for the cited exemption and all segregable parts. NRS 239.011 permits a district-court petition over denial, delay, or an excessive fee.
Recorder mail orders require the instrument or book and page, page and copy counts, certification choice, and requester contact details. District Court requests should identify the case number and whether the copy is plain, certified, or exemplified. Vital certificates use their own eligibility application. These details keep Sunrise Manor requests from being misrouted or returned for clarification.
Lawful personal use. Open access never authorizes threats, fraud, repeated unwanted contact, stalking, or harassment. Nevada law protects people from those acts.
